It's the question I have been pondering over the past week since the wonderful Festival for the Future.
I had the honour of being a part of the Festival for the Future as a Volunteer last weekend. It is truly a memorable experience for me working with other volunteers and everyone at Inspiring Stories to organise the Festival.
I am grateful to meet many amazing and talented people from different backgrounds working in the social innovation space. I believe that any impactful change requires a collective effort with people from diverse backgrounds - industries, expertise, ages, genders, and ethnicities exchanging ideas, partnering up, and working towards the better future of Aotearoa New Zealand.
It was great catching up with Education New Zealand in Wellington and hearing the ideas of other young people sparked out of this experience.
"My strength is not that of an individual but that of the collective."
Ideas would not mean much if they are not put into action.
"So what's next?" - I ask myself. To everyone reading this, I hope you will take the first steps to make your ideas and dreams come true. Who knows how that simple idea in your head might turn into something? You might only have the answer once you get started and be persistent.
Your idea can be great if you make it.
Thank you everyone at Inspiring Stories, attendees, volunteers, speakers, and partners for making such an epic and unforgettable weekend. It would not have been that fantastic without any of you. Super stoked to see what happens as a result of the experience at the Festival!
